As a Customer Representative, you will support the Dangerous Goods (DG) department pertaining to data entry of DG shipment details into our system, report generation, record keeping, creating tank certificate lists for our vessels and filing DG documents. You will receive on the job DG training and be DG certified for 3 years.
We have a temporary assignment opening in our South Jordan, UT office for a Customer Representative specializing in the documentation of Dangerous Goods. The assignment will begin July 3 and last until early November. Our hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
We seek candidates who are customer focused, wanting to learn international business and will enjoy helping customers with their DG cargo shipments from all over the world. The ideal candidates are Dangerous Goods (IMDG, Transport Canada, and 49CFR) certified, self-motivated, innovative, disciplined and skilled in planning and prioritizing. Previous industry experience (e.g. ocean shipping, import/export, transportation, logistics, dispatch, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Review Dangerous Goods (DG) cargo details received from customers to ensure regulatory compliance
Respond and assist to customer enquiries
Input DG details into company booking system
Send DG applications to vessel operator and ports for approval
Upload DG documents into company systems as needed
Other activities and special projects as required
Skills &
Qualifications:
Current Dangerous Goods certification is required
Thorough knowledge of dangerous goods regulations
Customer service skills
MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word, SharePoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
