Dispatch Supervisor


We have an immediate opening in our South Jordan, UT office for a Dispatch Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Ensure proper dispatch process is implemented, executed and monitored according to International Standards Organization (ISO) procedures and customer requirements.
Act as a catalyst to reshape ISO procedures as needed to incrementally enhance performance and productivity.
Identify training needs for the dispatch function and provide individual coaching to enhance performance and productivity.
Handle exceptions and service recoveries within company and department guidelines.
Act as entry point for import/export dispatch and foster relationships with customer service representatives, supplier management and intra-regional dispatchers targeting triangulation savings within the region.
Supervise and monitor all job orders created for local dispatch and trouble shoot any issues that are unable to be resolved by the dispatch representatives.
Monitor all incoming messages from both internal/external customers.
Supervise staff performance, time and attendance.

Supervisory experience
Coaching, interpersonal and leadership skills
Attention to detail
Organization, planning, prioritizing, ability to multi-task and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient PC skills (MS Office)
Problem solving ability / Thinking outside the box mentality
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes
Knowledge of and/or experience in Transportation/Shipping industry is a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
