Description: We have an immediate opening for a Member Service Representative. If you would like to work for a great organization with a great atmosphere, DFCU is the place. We are looking for someone who has a welcoming personality and the desire to give great service to our members.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday 8:45-5:45 and rotating Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Receives and processes members' financial transactions, including: transferring money to member accounts, posting transactions to member accounts and maintaining member records.
- Offers credit union products and services that would benefit the member.
- Goes the extra mile in welcoming members.
- Provides information concerning products and services.
- Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
- Opens new accounts.
- Helps members with their lending needs.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING
Qualifications:
Experience:
Six months of experience working with the general public.
Two years of banking experience is preferred.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED required. Some college education a plus.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Must be good with detail and have the ability to deal with confidential information.
- Friendly and welcoming personality.
- Ability to make conversation with others.
Job Skills:
- Microsoft Office
- General computer skills with the ability to learn new programs.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate transaction details and amounts along with explaining Credit Union products and services.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
