General Summary
Facilitate creative and entertaining children's birthday parties. Create a fun and enthusiastic environment and engage children in a wide variety of exciting activities. Organize and implement activities and games for the children.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Member Experience
1. Greet, acknowledge, and interact with members in a friendly and professional manner
2. Facilitate organized birthday party activities and ensure children are active, interested and safe throughout the party
3. Explain and demonstrate games and activities to party participants
4. Supervise activities during birthday parties, including rock climbing, gym games and swimming
5. Resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner
6. Respond to Member inquiries regarding Life Time Fitness policies and procedures
Responsibilities of All Positions
- Support and articulate the Life Time Fitness mission statement
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ensure cleanliness of the club using all 5 senses:
- Sight to ensure club is neat and orderly
- Sound to ensure music/sound levels are appropriate
- Touch to ensure floors, countertops, etc are clean and dry
- Taste to ensure food & beverages in the caf are up-to-standards
- Smell to ensure the club is fresh and odor free
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Working towards a high school diploma or GED
Experience
- Six months to one year experience working with children
Licenses / Certifications / Registration:
- Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Excellent customer service and promotional skills
- Ability to be fun, creative, energetic and enthusiastic
- Ability to build relationships with members
- Ability to effectively communicate directions and instructions
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
- Comfortable working with all age groups
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
