Manufacturing Area Leader--Day Shift
Position Overview
Manufacturing Area Leader to oversee the production of a shift in an off-site facility in Salt Lake City. Responsible for the management and production execution. A great leader with a passion to drive a team to achieve results. Looking for a leader for day shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Leads a shift of production with a team that consists Line Leads, Line Technicians, Machine Operators, and Line Workers.
Leads the daily operation of manufacturing and works directly with other supporting departments such as product development, warehouse, quality, etc.
Uses Continuous Improvement methodologies aligned with the company strategy to drive and improve daily operations.
Responsible for ensuring all employees receive adequate training. Works with the Manufacturing manager in assessing training needs and assists in executing or arranging training.
Interfaces with department/customers on a daily basis.
Participates the cross-functional daily standup meeting.
Assists in monitoring OEE and works with the Manufacturing Manager and technical team to ensure downtime is being addressed on a daily basis.
Ensures compliance with OSHA and safety standards.
Assists in collecting and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly key performance indicators.
Responsible for ensuring manufacturing teams are compliant with GMPs and consistently monitors documentation.
Assists in developing technical manufacturing processes.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Experience continuous improvement methodologies (theory of constraints, Lean, 5S, TPM, SMED, Six Sigma, etc.).
Great communication skills and the ability to connect and influence employees at all levels.
Ability to hold employees accountable for results through coaching and able to recognize when education and training is needed.
Ability to balance big picture thinking and attention to detail.
An understanding of quality systems
Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen .
Microsoft Office skills.
Any experience in filling/packaging processes and/or equipment a plus.
